Abstract:
Objectives: This study aimed to identify the impact of a modified unit based on the ADDIE model and artificial intelligence on the content of the seventh-grade social studies textbook on student achievement.
Methodology: This study adopted a quasi-experimental design, as it was suitable for the study’s objective. The study sample consisted of three classes from private schools in Nablus Governorate that include the seventh grade, using a random cluster sampling method. Two schools were then randomly selected from these three: Al-Majd School and the Sisters of St. Joseph School. The classes in these two schools were then used to implement the experimental treatment according to the study design. The students were divided into three groups: two experimental groups. The first experimental group consisted of 38 seventh-grade students from Nablus Governorate and studied using the modified unit with artificial intelligence. The second experimental group also consisted of 38 students and studied using the manually developed unit. The control group consisted of 38 students and studied using the standard unit.
Results: The results showed that the developed unit (using artificial intelligence, manually developed, and the traditional unit) had a significant impact on the achievement of seventh-grade students. The developed groups (whether using artificial intelligence or manually developed) demonstrated a clear advantage over the traditional group, reinforcing the positive effect of the experimental treatment on student achievement.
