تتناول هذه الدراسة تأثير المواجهة الأمريكية الإيرانية على التحولات الجيوسياسية في منطقة الخليج العربي، مع التركيز على المملكة العربية السعودية كدراسة حالة خلال الفترة (2019-2026م). انطلاقاً من إشكالية مفادها كيف أعادت هذه المواجهة تشكيل السلوك الجيوسياسي للسعودية، اعتمدت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي ومنهج دراسة الحالة. توصلت النتائج إلى أن السعودية انتقلت من نموذج “المواجهة بالنيابة” إلى نموذج “التوازن الهجين”، الذي يجمع بين الردع العسكري الذاتي والانفتاح الدبلوماسي. كما أظهرت النتائج أن التحولات

Abstract:

This study examines the impact of the US-Iranian confrontation on geopolitical transformations in the Arabian Gulf, focusing on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a case study during the period (2019-2026). Addressing the central question of how this confrontation has reshaped Saudi geopolitical behavior, the study employs a descriptive-analytical approach and case study methodology. Findings indicate that Saudi Arabia has transitioned from a “proxy confrontation” model to a “hybrid balance” model, combining autonomous military deterrence with diplomatic engagement. The study also reveals that geopolitical transformations include diversifying alliances (with China and Russia), developing domestic defense capabilities, and pursuing a more independent regional policy. The paper concludes that Gulf security now relies on conflict management rather than resolution, with persistent fragility due to nuclear deadlock.
